This is a work done in collaboration with Nuno Ramalho.


Two exhibition spaces in Fort Mason, San Francisco, were used; both with a similar configuration, almost identical. The idea was to make the viewer experience a moment of déjà vu, a state of confusion after having apparently seen the same pieces moments ago. About the Gorbachev image –originally photographed by Annie Leibovitz– says Ramalho:


"(…) In my room, I have had for the past several months an image up on the wall. It has become this strange object whose gravitational field I have been unable to avoid ever since I first encountered it, on the back of a TIME magazine. My initial reaction to this image was one of (…)
